Our story

My name is Charlotte I am 34 years old and I am Mother Ivy.

I spent my childhood in the beautiful county of Cornwall, in the South West of England. With itchy feet and a desire to travel I left school and embarked on my adventure to Australia. I first came to Perth in Western Australia and without intending to stay for ever… I stayed forever.

So how did I get into floristry I hear you asking… It all began when my fiancé mentioned I needed to have an outlet for my creativity and love for flowers…bright idea.. I needed to become a florist! So 5 years ago I said goodbye to my office chair, packed up my pencil case and headed to school. After 2 years in Tafe and completing my cert 3 and cert 4 in floristry, working for a couple of years in Florist shops and learning what I could in the industry, I have branched out to start my own business.

The name Mother Ivy’s originated from my Mum’s favourite beach in Cornwall and represents something special for me and my family.

I am super excited to have finally set up my studio working from home, in a place adore surrounded by the people I love doing the thing I love. Thankyou to all of the people that have helped guide me, support me and encouraged me during this process you are amazing… and I am truly grateful.
